This is strange, on my Mac Pro (running 10.10 b2) I get a double listing of my Mac Mini under "Shared" in the Finder sidebar. On my MacBook (running 10.9.4) I only get the "My Mac Mini (2)" which is equally annoying. Can anyone explain this or how I might get rid of the 2nd instance of my Mac Mini appearing in my Finder side bar?

Based on the difference, it seems that it's detecting 1 as "back to my mac" and the other is bonjour.

I have similar setup however it's just showing a single instance of my mac mini(My Mac)

Maybe you can going to mac mini icloud preference and turn off the "back to my mac" temporarily once it's cleared off the mac pro, try switching it back on again and see if that helps.
