Mac Mini booting up very slowly

My Mac Mini takes about a minute to boot up after I have signed in. I've been through Disk Utility and that made no difference. I suspect it's due to me downloading OS X 10.9.4.

Would it be better if I went back to the previous operating system or does anyone have another solution?
