Mac Mini Came with OSX CD's not DVD :(

Does anyone know how i can merge the two OSX CD on to one DVD, this would just save disc swapping on installation, and also i would like to create an installation from external firewire drive and all the guides i have found seem to describe using the DVD rather than multipul CD's

No it didn't. They are both DVDs. The first one contains Leopard. The second one contains iLife. They are just poorly labelled and lots of people make this mistake. I think it's Apple's way of trying to fool people who restore into buying iLife.

Plus Tiger took 4 CDs and Leopard never came on CDs as it would take at least 9 CDs. Whoarh!

I'm quite a technical person but never even thought to check the contents and assume they were both required as the second disc is always request when i do a fresh install

I've only had to put in the first disc to install OS X.
