Does anyone know if Apple intends on producing a travel case for the Mac Mini - it's so portable, I'd like to bring it to work. I want my Mac to stand tall on a floor of Winblooze boxes. 8)

I give it no more than 2 months before there are third party options to do just that. After all, you can find cases to take the iMac G5, and the Mac mini is many magnitudes smaller and lighter.

You can use the packaging that came with the mini. Its small enough to tote around.

Does Apple often tell third parties of upcoming products? I say this because there is no way accessories can be made so quickly. Same goes for the iPod.

Yes, Apple gives many of them a heads-up so that there are some accessories ready to go when the new product is announced. Make the consumers happy and nutures Apple's relationship with the third parties.

Yes, they obviously do this in some cases. I remember when they introduced the 3G iPods (I think) they also showed off the 3rd party voice recorder and memory card adapters, etc. But, as I recall reading at that time, those companies were given very few details about the actual designs/engineeromg of the iPod... they only knew the parts that would affect their new products. They were on a "need to know basis" and Apple determined what they needed to know.

Which in this case would really just consist of 3 dimensions of measurements.

I wonder if the Tom Binh people HAVE a Mac Mini to use as a model, or if they're only going off the measurements?

...probably just went of the measurements...the case looks kinda cheapy too, with the fabric handles and all.
