To tidy up my desk, I could mount the new Mac Mini vertically in a stand or under the desk.

Now my question is whether both options can cause problems in the long term for heat dissipation.
I have no idea if the fan is designed to place the Mac Mini vertically on its side for years?

Mac Mini mounted under the desk or standing on its side.

When in doubt, couldn’t you just mount in under the desk in the correct orientation?

What is the "correct" orientation? Yes, the under the desk is physically upside down, but the base is against the desk surface so presumably as intended for airflow?

The correct is the one the manufacturer had in mind when designing where the rubber feet would go. As I wrote, in case of doubt, the machine can likely be positioned that way under a desk ad well.

Thanks for the info.

Meanwhile, the Mac Mini hangs under the clean desktop.
