Mac Mini + Dell 49 UltraSharp U4919DW

I've heard that Big Sur solves the problem not being able to run the native resolution of the monitor (2K QHD 5120 x 1440), can anyone confirm this? I'm a bit hesitant to buy the Mac Mini before this is clarified.

can confirm my Mac mini runs native on the Phillip monitor that is the comparable to the dell on Big Sur

Not same monitor but my LG 48 CX used as a monitor was MUCH better with Big Sur than 10.15. Text is crisper, overall display resolution appears better matched than even when I was trying to use SetResX
