Mac mini does not recognize cds

I am in the process of ripping my cd collection to a new mac mini. My problem is cds aren't always recognized when inserted. Actually they are recognized and displayed on the desktop and in itunes for maybe one second. They immediately disappear and could not be ejected if I wasn't using the apple keyboard with the eject button.
This occurs probably 1 out of 5 cds. itunes is configured to import upon insertion of the cd. Does this seem normal or should I return the mini to the Apple store for check? Thanks.

I would suggest having Apple take a look.

If a fix is needed, since it is new, it will be free. Best to take care of issues now.

Two days ago a couple of updates were. presented to my mini. After installing them the problem is resolved. Not only does the import process initiate as designed, the import speed has increased as well.
Thought I'd update the thread with that news.
