Hi, as per title.
- created patcher in the Mini (Dosdude1)
- upon booting from USB/patcher the screen is stuck at initial Apple logo (white screen), progress bar wont move at all, tried many times.
- ran the the firmware update, this time the installation begun, went past Catalina installer, few minute left before it reached the Apple logo again, system rebooted and could not perform the install.
- cannot get the USB/patcher to progress from the initial Apple logo (white screen)
Tried the below
- reset pram
- change date in terminal
- created another HDD/patcher
- fitted an SSD
After the failure, i used the same USB/patcher in a Mac Pro 3,1. The patcher installed Catalina without issues. Successful in Mac Pro 3,1
The Mini has 4gb of ram. Installs El Capitan without issues (tried after Catalina failure), hence the hdd in the minis still fine. Even after fitting an SSD, it was still the same. Does not progress at all from initial Apple logo.
Any ideas what is wrong ? Thank you.
