Mac mini, frozen screen, help!

This is my friends mini. Anyways, it is a 1.83 half gig ram machine. I don't have a monitor, so I hooked it up to my plasma. Anyways, the apple logo will start up and the circle with start to rotate. After about a minute of this the screen will freeze, yet I can still move the mouse cursor around. Anyone have an idea of what is going on here?

place your backup disc in there (I guess you have leopard, but it could be tiger, anyhow slide your disc in the mac). Turn your mac mini off, then on and immediately press c (so it will start from the disc), in there you can find problems, whether something is wrong.

p.s. maybe it's your tv, there could be a little chance the mac mine doesn't support your size, but i do'nt know.

The thing is, is that I just have a wireless keyboard for my imac. I stuck my leopard dvd in, and I need to get that out. I guess I will try to use a monitor of a friends/ find a usb keyboard...
