I've just bought a G4 Mac Mini but it doesn't seem to like bootable discs.
I have tried OSX, Linux and MorphOS discs but they don't show as a bootable option in Open Firmware (holding down "option") or in "Startup Discs" in OSX, the discs can be read fine in OSX.
In open firmware I've tried:
reset-nvram
reset-all
this hasn't helped
I've also put the iso on a usb stick along with boot.img from within the iso and tried the below which I found on the web:
boot usb1/@1:,\boot.img umsd0:morphos32.iso
but I get the error:
LOAD-SIZE too small

Any ideas anyone?

If the OS X disc is genuine / confirmed to be working then you could try creating bootable usb stick by using Disk Utility. I have never used disc as source, only a DMG image copied to hard disk. Once you have created the stick succesfully you can the google instructions how to boot from. I remember reading somewhere that some PPC macs shold support booting off usb without tricks but I guess Mac mini still requires Open Firmware commands.
