Hi, I have this issue where my G4 Mac Mini starts up with a blinking globe.
If I insert my Tiger disk and start with C key pressed I can choose my startup disk
and it will start correctly. This is a new HD, problem seems to be in the boot paritition.
Any Ideas?

Do you mean that you can't get your mini to boot at all?
Have you been able to install OS X on the new hard drive?

If you do have a good system installed, then the flashing globe means that your mini is set to boot to a network boot, and not your hard drive. It will flash for a few seconds, then failing to find a network boot, will search around again, then find your internal drive, assuming that a good system is installed.

Here's what should fix that:
Let your mini finish booting to the hard drive.
Select your hard drive in System Preferences/Startup Disk pane.

Thanks this makes sense, however sometimes the blinking just goes on and on Will make the change.
