Hey all,

I'd like to get new hardware before the end of the year to use in my living room and watch videos on my 55-inch TV. I could think of two mains ways to go :

1. Get a Mac Mini (use as an HTPC) and an iPad (to browse internet at the same time)
2. Get a MBA and an Apple TV (AirPlay)

I download a lot of sports games, 720p mkv files. Both solution are at the same price. Would you have any advice ?

in option #2 where do you plan to store your files?
Also, when you say you download lots of 'sports games', do you mean videos of sports or sport video games? (that is, I assuming you're not thinking to play games hoping to mirror it to your TV).
