Try the NVRAM/PRAM reset again.
Do you hear a boot chime sound?
If you do hear a chime, keep holding the same 4 keys until you hear the chime two more times, then release the keys, except continue to hold the Alt/Option key. Do you get the boot picker screen -- or anything at all on the screen?
can you more about which mini you have, more than "old"? Which year, for example?

If the mini sat unused for more than a year or two, then you may need to do other things to "rescue" it.
One tip would be to replace the internal battery.
You have to completely remove the logic board to get to the battery, which wlll be a BR2032.

Need to know which mini you have.
iFixit has good steps for doing most tasks inside a mini.

This page has the various aluminum models. https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Mac_Mini_Unibody
2020 is the m1, and would be considered current model. All the others would be "old". The oldest does have a CD slot. There is an identification label on the bottom of your mini, and you can post model number info, and someone will quickly discover exactly which mini you have. Then it's just a matter of clicking on the right model, all except the 2018 model have specific steps for replacing the PRAM battery. Hope that helps you. (be careful of the tiny connectors inside. Take your time, check your work (particularly the tiny wifi antenna connectors)
Sometimes the power supply fails, so if the battery doesn't help, that might be your next step.

A1347 is the model Buddy

That appears to be a mid 2010 Mini, there are several different versions - this was the entry level model

So, this should be the relevant iFixit page

hmm... Could be a 2010, but, in fact, all new minis from 2010 to 2014, 7 different models (until release of the 2018 mini in, well, late 2018) were identified with that same model A1347.
It can still be helpful if you will tell us more about this mini. If you can't get it to boot up, you can enter the serial number on this site - which will quickly tell you which mini you have. The serial number is listed on the label on the bottom of the case.
