I have a MacMini that I purchased new in October, 2011. I am using it as a dedicated HTPC and it is hooked into my Home Theater setup.
I am starting to have issues with it. When it boots up, I get the opening grey screen with the Apple Logo in the center, with a progress bar below it. When the progress bar reaches about 2/3 complete, the screen of the TV that it is attached to (through my Marantz AVR) goes black.
I've tried numerous reboots with no luck. Is this an internal problem with the video portion & I need to replace it, or is there a simple fix?
Please help.

Could it be a recent firmware update of the Marantz? Try connecting directly to the TV and see what happens, i.e. remove the receiver from the chain.

The Marantz is an SR7005 that I bought in November, 2011. I haven't checked for updates on the Marantz in a while, so no recent updates (i.e. the problem with the MacMini started with no updates to the Marantz).
However, I will do as you suggested and connect the MacMini directly to the TV & see what happens.
