I want to make a clean install of Lion.

So i have to make a Bootable Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Installer from a USB Flash Drive.

So i need the installESD.dmg of Lion. Where do i found that?

When you boot the recovery partition go into Disk Utility and wipe the Macintosh HD partition. Then quit disk utility and install Mac OS X Lion. It will be a clean install.

I am wondering whats the practical difference between erase and erase free space...?

Erase free space will erase free space on the disk. This is a useful maintenance procedure with some SSDs.

The erase option will wipe the drive. With the drive wiped the Mac OS X installer will definitely do a clean install.

Thanks mate :)

I dont understand why erase procedure is a lot faster than erase free space.
