Received my M1 Mac mini for Christmas (from me to me), and I am trying to run it at 1440p / 144 Hz. I've been having the monitor drop out a few times and almost seems unrecoverable without a system restart. Has anyone had issues with this? I am currently functioning fine at 1440p and 60 Hz, but anything above that will cause issues after some time. Below is a link to my monitor and adapter cable. Both should function fine according to specs, but I am still having issues. I have a 1080p connection to my 1080p monitor via the HDMI port as well.

Any thoughts on why 100 Hz or 144 Hz would be having issues?

Could be a bad cable. How much time does it take before it stops working at 144Hz? Is the problem related to sleep/wake?

There's a script at https://gist.github.com/joevt/0c75b42171b3fb1a5248b4e2bee8e4d0 which will list all the monitor timings. It will show the current output timing as well.

SwitchResX will show the Frequency Range settings which can be overridden if they do match your display.

Look for other threads about the M1 Macs and displays.
