Mac Mini M1 8GB to 16GB

As I think of long term use (getting used to Mac OS somewhat). I was thinking or upgrading my Mac Mini M1 unit from 8GB to 16GB (yes, trade it in).

Has anyone else performed this feat.?

Unless you are desperate to upgrade, suggest wait for the updated Mac Mini expected this coming year (maybe).

wait for the upgrade. the M1 suffers in the GPU area.

Getting 16 or 32 GPU cores fixes that.

Going from 8GB to 16GB ram is no big difference unless your using memory intensive tasks. like Maybe Final Cut Pro editing or working with lots of tracks and effects in Logic Pro.

I'm considering trading my 8GB Mini this year too, but am playing the wait-and-see game, as others have suggested.

DON'T "trade an m1 for another m1".

DO consider trading up to the new m1pro Mini when it gets here -- as others have said, a little later this year.
