I'm fully aware that the M4 Minis are around the corner. However, I really don't want to wait for or need an M4. I'd like to pick up an M2 Pro 32/512 to replace my 2018 Intel Mini, but I wonder if we might see some price reductions as they try to clear out stock? The 2018 machine is fine for me in all aspects except I'm now missing out on some Logic Pro features and finding that some plugins, amp sims, etc., just don't perform well any longer on the Intel platform.

Historically is there any reason to expect to see some price reductions or would they be so insignificant that I should proceed? I don't really spend a lot of time tracking such things because I've been happy with my current setup for years now.

I would imagine so. Also, there will be many M1/M2 mini popping up on the used market when the M4 is released. That will be the time to get the best deal.

They go considerably less than retail on eBay already.

I am almost tempted myself if a 1TB one drops.

BHphoto has got the base M2 pro 16/512 $200 off for $1,099. It was a $100 off for several months and just dropped to $200 off - if you use the BH Payboo card then you can save on sales tax if you pay the balance in full.
