Some people say there's no more write & read speed differences on models that have over 1 TB SSDs.

Can someone confirm that or tell me where I can find data? Thanks 🙏

I just got in my M2 Pro mini with 2TB ssd, I'll let you know after it gets all set up. The only thing I know so far is that it started up really fast compared to my M1 Studio Max. I'm doing a restore from said Studio and it says it still has an hour and 39 left. :(

Thanks @bobcomer! Do you know a site where people upload their results like yours?

Would love to compare if let’s say the 4TB or 8TB versions are even faster.

M2 Mac Mini and Pro SSD Speeds

256 GB = 1,500 read / write
512 GB = 3,000 read / 2,800 write
1 TB = 5,300 read / 6,700 write

No difference in read / write speeds over 1 TB

Thanks! That’s what I’ve heard too, but I think it’s a theoretical deduction people have made because of the hardware.

It would be interesting to see someone actually make a test with an M2 Pro Mini with 4TB or 8TB and report their results.
