Hi, I have a Mac Mini M4 Pro connected to three screens:
Left: BenQ PD3225U #1 (DP to Thunderbolt/USB-C)
Middle: Samsung Odyssey G80SD (4K 120Hz using DP to Thunderbolt/USB-C)
Right: BenQ PD3225U #2 (just regular HDMI) (main monitor)
Sometimes I switch the source on the Samsung to HDMI so I can play PS5. When I do this, the BenQs seem okay for a little bit but then after 30 seconds they randomly go black every 10 seconds as if they're trying to find a signal, they come back on, everything seems okay, and then it happens again, on and off. This is very annoying.
When I switch the source on the Samsung back to DP to go back to Mac, it shows 'Choose to Mirror or Extend Display from the menu' or just the desktop, both in very low resolution, and I can't get things back to normal unless I restart my Mac. When I look in Settings at the Display menu, it shows the Samsung as an unnamed monitor at 800x600.
All I want is if I switch my Samsung's source to HDMI, for everything on Mac to stay exactly the same for as long as I play PS5.
I have Better Display Pro but I'm wondering if there's any other tricks. I was told that maybe I need an EDID emulator but there's so many options, I'm very confused and some of them are very expensive so I don't want to make the wrong choice.
Please help?
