Mac mini or IMac?

Hello, need computer but not sure what to buy.

Software I will use is only set up forthe ppc and there are no signs from company when or if they will upgrade to the new intel mac format. I will be doing 2d animation, music recording via garage band or m audio and graphic design and video recording.

Later I will buy a high end mac but now cant afford. So will the mac mini be fine? I am not sure if I will completely go intel because of software issues. Or I could scape and scrage and try try to get a IMac g5.

So how far can the mac mini take me? I dont need the best and greatest now but something that will get the job done.

I think the mini will be pretty slow for what you want to do. Try to get an imac G5 - doesnt' have to be the latest version. The apple store sometimes has great deals on refurb imac G5s from rev. A or B, and even those will be a lot faster than a mini.
