I installed windows xp sp2 on my mac mini in Oct 09 with 200gb NTFS (half the HD) It has been working fine until today. I get the missing or corrupt hal.dll message. From searching I know this is really about the boot.ini. Please tell me how to fix the boot ini from the os x side. I can not get into the windows side at all. I try to boot from the install cd and that spins and then nothing happens. Even when I select the disk I still get the same hal.dll message. Please I can not reinstall everything. It took a day and a half to do it last time. Can't I edit the boot.ini from the mac side. I am desperate.
