Can anyone link me to a Uk place where I can buy memory for my mac mini 2011 i7 server edition?.

What is the max memory I can install?, apparently its 8GB but I hear I can do 16Gb?

Have a look on the crucial site - you can use the memory checker to find compatible memory.

Thanks but can someone explain to me if I install the 16gb will that work on the mac mini?. i thought 8GB was the max you can install anyway?, I wish to install 16GB but would I get the benefits or will the Mac Mini cap at 8GB regardless?.

Depends on what use you're putting it to. it may be that 8gig is more than enough - it certainly is for me.

fwiw i bought an 8gig kit from Amazon UK.

16gb wil certainly future proof it to an extent. Amazon has 16gb kits for the Mini

£75

As I say I have the 8Gb kit - which was £32 http://tinyurl.com/8t5er8z

Well its for Photoshop and Zbrush?

Will the 16GB be utilised or am I just wasting money as it wouldn't use it?

Thanks, but I'm still confused. Will the Mac use all of the 16GB for say stuff like PS and Zbrush, or will the mac just cap the memory of 8GB regardless?:)

I get you. Having read posts from other users who have fitted 16Gb since they became available.. earlier this year. The Mini WILL use the full 16Gb if necessary. its not capped. You can buy Crucial with complete confidence. But be wary with other makes of memory.
