Mac Mini to MacBook?

I have a Mac Mini (not the most recent one, the model right before) and I've been thinking of going to the more portable macbook. I'm looking at the white MacBook, mainly because cost is a factor. I like the idea of the portability, but I wonder, when at home, can I work with a monitor at my desk? I have a large monitor and I'm not sure how happy I'll be to go to a 13 in screen. What about working with a Magic Mouse?

Also, anyone have suggestions for selling the mini? It's less than a year old and in great shape.

You can use the MBs with an external screen with the appropriate adapter (VGA or DVI from Mini DisplayPort) and you can use the Magic Mouse with that Mac too.
