I recently acquired a 2007 1.83GHZ Core 2 Duo.

I realize that I need to upgrade the RAM to 2GB (possibly to 4GB with 3GB actually addressable) prior to upgrading.

My question is really about how to handle a clean install and upgrade to Lion of the OS since I don't have any of the original physical media. From what I've been reading the bootable thumb drive seems like the way to go.

Since I have a MBA, I was hoping I could leverage it to create the thumb drive. Its currently on Mountain Lion (I know the mini will only support Lion) but I'm hoping there is a way to leverage it since it was originally bought with Lion itself.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and support!

Resolved: Call Apple and...

1) Purchase physical media for an upgrade to Snow Leopard
2) Upgrade RAM
3) Purchase an upgrade to Lion (download link provided)
