I'm interested in mounting my Mac Mini on the rear of my monitor. I see a number of solutions for sale that advertise "Vesa Mount". My monitor does indeed have a Vesa Mount, but its stand occupies the mount. How then does it work to use the Vesa Mount for the Mac Mini - or does the mount AND the monitor stand fit the slot somehow?

I've looked at several models of mount and don't understand how they would BOTH be accommodated.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

They're probably intended for monitors where the VESA mount is already in use.

Although I have seen a couple which are more like a cage, so that it screws into the monitor and the stand then screws into the other side...(e.g. https://www.ergotron.com/en-us/products/product-details/80-107#?color=black)

Maybe it's just me but, I feel like I wanna get to my mini a little easier a little too often for this to be a solution for me.

Looks like a cheap solution. Putting your Mini in a steel encloser might mess with the WIFI and Bluetooth.

But that doesn't let the OP attach a VESA stand/mount as well as the Mini.

Not such a good idea.
Just set the Mini towards the back of your desk and out-of-the-way.

C'mon, man... (as the candidate might say)
How obtrusive can that little box be...?
