My continual misery of Mac Mini ownership culminated this evening where it won’t boot. I get the startup noise, the light is on, the monitor gets a signal as that turns on then black screen.

I have tried the key combinations (and unplugging power, hitting power switch for 6 seconds)/ to reset the SMC/NVRAM/PRAM and nothing. No startup sound again -just a black screen. The monitor doesn’t go into standby. I have tried recovery mode and safe mode - same result.

Frankly I’m about ready to throw this into the trash given it’s total inability to work properly (it’s forever somehow losing it’s main display and only using the secondary) but given I had to paid hard-earned for it hoping someone might be able to help.

Thanks

What Mini is it.

Have you tried unplugging the monitor from the back of the Mini and reconnecting - there is a known issue with HDMI for example.
