Mac - mounting Ubuntu linux to Mac OS X

Hey guys, total newbie but I managed to mount mac OS X to a folder in Ubuntu. I did this by getting an answer on the following thread:

I was wondering how to mount the Ubuntu partition to my Mac OS X. The command lines aren't exactly the same.

I want to do this so I can save a document in Mac OS X and not have to save it on Ubuntu as well.
