Hello,
Thanks for everyone responding to my other posts. I know I have a lot of questions, but I'm still new to Macs and I appreciate the help. I just recieved in the mail 256 meg of ram for my Ibook. I bought it from OWC because I heard great things about them. However, I tried to install it this evening, and it just seemed like it was too big for my ibook. Should I have to push these sticks of Ram in?. If anyone wants to look at what I bought, i'm including a link. http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=3163&Item=OWC100SO256328
Did i purchase the right RAM? has anyone else had any problems?

Thanks a lot

It should work right. With most RAM you have to sort of jiggle it in and close the side clips as you go along.

Ram needs to be inserted firmly... also... I hope you're properly grounded and such... one shock and your system is toast.

If you do not know what you are doing, you should pay someone to install it. Killing your system is a big risk.

After I install the ram will it automatically show up the next time I startup the computer? Or do I have to change something?
