Mac Only Sees Certain Files On External Drive

I have a 500 GB Western Digital HD that I'm using to move things to and fro from my PC to my MacBook Pro.

I can see all 8 of the large files I have on the drive with my PC but I can only see certain files that are on there when it is hooked up to the Mac.

I've concluded that the ones the Mac can see are ones I saved directly to the drive via torrenting. The others were not originally saved to the HD and were cut from the desktop to the external drive.

Anyone know how I can get my Mac to 'see' the files?
