Rig: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2016) 2.8 GHz, AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2GV
OS: 10.14.6
External Monitor: LG 31MU97, max resolution 4096x2160 @ 60Hz
Issue is the System Report, under Graphics/Displays, shows Resolution as 7680x4320 (8K UHD - 8K Ultra High Definiton) and my UI looking like 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz if I do not scale
Problem, this is not an 8K monitor, info is wrong. Just how does that occur?
OS fouled up?
GPU driver foueld up?
Monitor going out?
Note, that I do not normaly work with this MACBook with the external monitor. And I did not notice this. But loking at Adobe Lightroom Classic (LRC) issues, noticed this issue when looking at System Information via LRC. As such, I stubled upon this oddity. Not an Adobe issue, The MAC OS shows me the same info.
SystemInformation on my LCD is correct 2880x1800 Retina
I cannot state if an earler OS version did or did not have this issue
When I sccale down, so that I can read everything, the Information does change. Following is a screenshot with scaling that looks like 2560x1440 selected. Note, this monitor is also not a 5K display
