Hi
I have installed fresh MacOs High Sierra on my iMac mid 2011. Sometimes when I turn off the mac it stucks on poweroff logo and nothing happens, even after hours of waiting. I enabled "verbose" mode, and I made a picture of what is going on during shutdown.

It stucks on "Continuing" and nothing else happens... Can anyone help me with that ?

Do you have any running applications open, that you're aware of at shut down? Press command tab and it will display the applications that are still open. Your Mac won't shut down if there are processes running .

Well, I did as you proposed. Closed all programs before powering off. System still hangs during poweroff. Not always but very often.
