It's just flashing the "Restore Windows" pop up screen but I cannot clock don't restore or even restore. I tried booting from from my external HD with an OS on it and I used disk genius to check the HD and it says no problems.
I am confused as what to try next. Safe mode was a no go either. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT
I can open console and there are a string of errors and keeps saying Sleeping due to too many errors. It looks like this all started with an app I HAD thought I deleted. CleanApp: Most of the errors have something to do with its daemon. I removed it using mackeeper. It is weird, I can now get into my applications folder but there is nothing on my desktop and no HD to access and finder does not work. This has never happened to me before. I know threads like these are lame but any assistance would be great.
EDIT-2: Logged in as root user and deleted the cleanapp daemon like I read to do on the apple.com forums. Still no joy. Finder will NOT work, only popping up and off about restoring windows but not letting me choose. I cannot even use time machine...
