Mac OS - Wallet & Apple Pay

The Wallet & Apple Pay sections in Mac OS Preferences makes old defunct credit cards available to chose in the "Select cards to use with Apple Pay". How do I get rid of these old cards once and for all. There's no reason I can think of that would need them to be kept available.
