Mac laptop owners, how many of you switch between using the laptop screen alone and connecting to a large external monitor configured as the main display? Main display refers to going to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement and dragging the menu bar onto the external monitor.
When you are working with a single folder in the Finder, where do you usually position it on the screen? In the center? In a corner? Close to the top, bottom, etc?
When you are working with a single application, where do you usually position the application window?
Suppose while using the laptop screen alone, you work with some applications or open some folders in the Finder. After a while, you close the applications and folders, close the laptop, and then go back home or to your office. You then open the laptop and connect your large external monitor which is configured as your main display. Then you open those folders or applications which you had previously been working on. Since the external monitor is configured as the main display, where do you expect things to appear on the monitor screen?
Suppose you access a shared folder on a server. Should the size and position of that folder's window on your Mac be affected by other users who access the same folder on other Macs?
