I logged into my university FTP account today using gFTP on my slackware box, and I noticed it said "FTP server (Version: Mac OS X Sever 10.5.1 - + GSSAPI) ready."

10.5.1?? I wonder how they got it.

I call shens, and why would a school give students ftp access is beyond me.

Anyway, with 10 days to go until this OS is previewed we're bound to hear a lot of crap as "news scoops."

thank you, try again

Wow... that's great, but not as good as my MacBook:

Probably just a typo... since I'd be willing to bet that there aren't any versions of that OS installed on campuses anywhere.

I'm sure it's installed somewhere on the Apple campus. ;)

10.6.2 was really unstable for me, although 10.6.3 addressed many of those problems. But when I sit down and use 11.0.5, I just can't imagine going back to the OS X days... :D

You think they have 10.5.1 when 10.5.0 isn't even in beta yet? Right...

I didn't know if maybe University's got to test-drive stuff first. It's probably either a typo or more than likely someone put that in just to see if anyone would catch it.

Lots of schools give students FTP access, including mine. I don't know how much memory I get, but I do get enough to host papers and other stuff on it.
