Hey Guys,

Two times tonight my MacBook Pro has crashed. It crashed two times tonight and once about a week ago. The first time it crashed my friend plugged in a USB flash drive and then I got the "you need to restart Mac OS X" message. Tonight when I plugged my iPod in, I got the same message. I didnt think anything about but it happened a second time. And now the issue persist.

Here's the log of what happend

What do I need to do to stop this from happening?
Thanks Guys!

Did you find a solution?

I just plugged my ipod nano 3g into my MBP last nite and repeatedly i have been receiving a grey vail of death that in about 5 different languages tells me i need to restart my mac! I tried again repeatedly this morning and the same thing. I charged my battery full, I tried to soft reset my ipod, and i even tried to plug it in while on disk mode? I really want my music that is on my ipod nano 3g, if possible. I've been all over online and although i found many that have run into the same problem, i have yet to find a clear solution! I also have a iphone 3g and i am able to plug it in and update and transfer wutever w/my mac! My mac works fine, my iphone works fine, and my ipod nano 3g works fine! The only problem i get is when i plug my ipod nano 3g into my MBP! Now im obviously not the most savy w/computers, but if you found a solution or could point me in the direction of someone that could help, then i would be most greatful!

You are using Mac OS X 10.5.5's IOUSBFamily kernel extension with Mac OS X 10.5.6. That is why you are experiencing kernel panics.

I believe you can download the correct IOUSBFamily kernel extension from here.
