Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and figured that you guys could help me out.

My MacBook 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo broke and a friend sold me his MacBook 2.0 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo which was just sitting around after he upgraded to a MBP.

My question is this: The 2.0 came with the Tiger OS X Install Disks, but I still have the install disks from my 2.2 which are Leopard. Is there any way I could use the install disks to wipe out the 2.0 MacBook? And what would come on it? Would I have to go get a new copy of iLife to have iphoto/itunes/etc? Would it be like when I got my 2.2 out of the box?

The Install Disks say:
Mac OS Version 10.5
AHT Version 3A137
Disc version 1.3

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Probably not. Don't know for sure, but those install disks are specific to each model and typically don't work outside that same revision as well. That's been especially true with the Intels, so chances are it won't work.

You can always try, it'll tell you if it won't work.
