Mac os x Leopard 10.5.4 VLC player crashing!!

Vlc player keeps crashing on black macbook (penryn). I have latest uptade of leopard 10.5.4 and i've tried newest and some older versions of vlc. Still it keeps crashing whenever i try to watch something with it and then appears this error message:

Tried google and stuff already but can't find solution for this problem!

Just realised vlc works fine on nvdia cards. Both in my imac and macbook pro has nvdia graphics cards and vlc runs smooth, but on my gf's macbook has intels intergrated graphics and vlc won't work.

Can someone help?
 
I've had no issues with VLC on Intel integrated graphics. You might want to try creating a new user account, and seeing if that makes any difference. The other thing you may want to try is different video file formats and repairing disk permissions.
 
Try deleting VLC's pref file. Something this can get corrupted in one way or another and the usual end result is VLC starts crashing left and right.
 
I just had a problem with VLC 0.8.6h and OS X 10.5.4 on my Feb08 MBP (which has Nvidia GPU). I tried to adjust the volume while playing a movie in VLC -- the whole UI became unresponsive and the VLC image froze. The audio playback continued normally, though.
