Hi,

I'm a non-developer and i've already downloaded iOS 5 and managed to create an @me account and also login to iCloud.

I'm in the process of downloading 10.7.2 and I'm downloading delta update, is that correct or should I download the combo update? I am currently on 10.7.1.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Shawn

You want the combo update (11C73). Run the revisioner package that comes with it first (don't restart). Install the combo immediately thereafter.

Weird question. After updating to one of the of betas for 10.7.2, I stated getting a "Guest User" login option on my login window. The problem is that I have never activated the guest user option (and it is, in fact, disabled).

Apple doesn't have seemed to fixed this issue in the GM (maybe it was just me having this issue). Has anyone else experienced this -- or anyone have a way of getting "Guest User" off the login screen so that only the actual users appear there?

Do you have 'Find My Mac' enabled? If I recall correctly, that turns on a guest user account with internet access - you can't find your laptop if no one is trying to use it.

this is wrong. the delta update will work fine and you dont need the revisioner.

Same issue with me as well...and I hate it. I experienced this with the betas and was really hoping this would be fixed with the GM.

Launchpad is different

Hmm... I never liked launchpad but now it's worse.
The background is no longer blurred (there is a gray background) and the icons seem bigger.
Scrolling in launchpad is very sluggish and the icon for mobile me is still in the Preference Pane.
Takes too much time to shut down...

Really not sure if this is the GM.... honestly...
I hope not.

To change the blur and colour type in launchpad press :
Command-b
when in launchpad

It can be found here. But the site goes down every now and then due to the demand. URL REMOVED BY MODERATOR

Anyways, i installed the Combo update without running the revisioner first. Could that become a problem? I were running 10.7.1.

Because right now. 10.7.2 feels a bit slower than 10.7.1 which was way "zippier" than 10.7.0. Hmm..

Don't post links to iOS GM as per the rules. The only legal place for OSX is apple and you need to be developer or part of their apple seed program.

From the Forum Rules:

Ahh. You are absolutely correct.

So if you don't use (or turn off) Find my Mac the login goes back to the old way?

Exactly. If you turn off Find My Mac, the Guest User login option will go away. It's more annoying that anything else.

Does 10.7.2 fix the wifi issues? What about full screen mode via multiple monitors?

not sure about the full screen mode via multiple monitors but wifi seems quick and no more disconnecting when I play radio via itunes.

is it possible to resize the Launchpad icon?

Didn't solve my (crippling) wifi issues. Downgrading the driver to the SL version did.

I downloaded the combo last night and went to run the revisioner, but it wouldnt run

Im on 10.7.1 currently. Do i need the revisioner? what does it do?

or should i download the delta?

Thanks

Andy

Nevermind, just found the revisioner is if you have installed builds of 10.7.2 prior to the current release.

I downloaded the delta upgrade. Got to the .pkg file. Do i just run through the installer and point it towards my hard drive and then let it install by itself?

Thanks
