Think of this, Apple's operating systems have never been "complete", what do I meen? Well System 8 went from 8.1 to 8.5, there was no 8.2 or 8.3 ect. You think Apple will continue how Mac OS X is going? (10.1/10.2/10.3?) Or do you think Apple will skip to 10.5 or 10.6 and then jump to OS 11?? Just my thougts...

They probably want to keep the X as long as possible without going to XI or whatever, so, they probably will keep goin up by .1...

They won't be able to use OS X11 because that's the name of a Apple II emulator for OS X.
or do you mean the application that gives unix apps a gui.

i think they will keep going with .1's. that way people will be familiar with OS X as 10.something.

but if they keep going and got upto say, 10.7 or .8, wouldn't people start saying 'we're sick of this, give us something new!'

i can't see Apple using XI, that would be just weird. i think eventually they'll have to make another name for it. has there been any word on what the OS will be called after another 2 or 3 versions? i guess Apple might not even be planning that far ahead yet. :p

I think they're saving Mac OS 11 for the introduction of Mac on PC.

Either that, or it's for the all new Mac OS built ontop of Longhorn.

Heehee, yeah I think Apple will stick with going slow on OS X. I think if OS 11 was on Mac and PC Apple would make so much money it wouldn't even be funny...lol :)

10.x whatever is not the name of the Mac OS in the same way that MacOS9 or 8 was for that matter...

this MacOS is simply X. it's sexy and the .x only compliments the cat name... jaguar, Pather whatever.
