A similar size of iLife '06?

Great spot! It does seem similar to iLife 6 too.

I do like Apple's trend towards smaller packaging.

Different compared to Microsoft A5 sized, shrink wrapped paper with CD with a 2 page welcome guide.

Yep, this is a box containing an ungodly amount of cardboard, and a DVD with a 6 page welcome guide and a ten page license agreement...

I don't know, I think software is generally overpackaged these days. I'd like to see more of the "User guide with a slip in the back for the CD" thing going on, but that would entail writing user guides, something nobody does any more, for reasons that escape me. It's not as if everything in OS X is self-explanatory.

I actually saw this and submitted it for 2nd page news  Well, in my defense, it is also shipping with 10.4.6 ;)
