Ok, so I'm looking up stuff on Newzbin, then close the window because I couldn't find what I want. I then open iChat, and all of the sudden I get a window that says 'Download free xxx vids' with people f***ing. What the hell? Someone please tell me I was subconsciously just looking at porn. Please!!

I think it was through Safari and it was a pop-under.

That's weird...Newzbin doesn't even have ads inline, does it? Hmmm... But I still tend to doubt you have adware. It's possible. But no one else has ever gotten any, so I just doubt it a little that you are the first.

Yeah, I very seriously doubt you have adware. I very rarely even get a pop-under on OS X.

Next time such a window pops up (if it happens again), click on the Windows and see if that makes Safari the selected program. I'm sure it will, and that will serve as proof that you dont have adware.

Will it really be proof? I imagine that adware could tell Safari to open a page for it.
