I had to use Time Machine to restore iTunes music, trust me some may say what's the big deal, well when you spend two weeks re-doing your library only to think you lost several albums at the same time and not knowing which songs were on what CD, it was either using Time Machine or tossing the whole computer out the window and have a neighbor run it over with his Ford F450.
Then I decided to try Time Machine, well Life is good and I don't have to call the neighbor, I was able to restore every song for each album I was missing, the amount of time saved was perfect, unlike Windows where you cross your fingers and hope you can recover what you lost.
If you are not using Time Machine, get an external HDD and start using it NOW, trust me the little bit of money to use it goes a long way, for me saved me 2-3 Weeks worth of re-ripping music and fixing my library....Whew
