I have Mac Outlook 14.2.5 on a MBP with ML. I have used Apple mail for a long time and giving Outlook a try.
Here is one thing I notice. When I click on an unread email, the preview pane gives me a spinning ball and stays "downloading" for 3-6 seconds before I see the email. (In Apple mail it was instantaneous). These are not emails that have attachments- just standard HTML emails.
While 3-5 seconds to download seems short- when I am trying to scan through multiple unread emails it really slows me down quite a bit.
Seems like the email would fully download as it comes to my inbox.
Have I missed a setting somewhere?
The only thing I could see is Reading | Security | Automatically Download pictures | which I have set as "in all messages".
