Hi, I'm new here, so sorry if it's a dumb question.

I just wanted to know how I could start the page numbers in header and footer on the third page of my document. The first page is the title page and the second page is the table of contents, and of course I wouldn't want the page numbers to be on those pages.

I have searched on the web and in help but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

It's not too hard.

Your title page and table of contents will constitute one section. The rest of your document constitutes another section.

Hit Inspector and for the first section, choose whatever options you like.

For the second section, make sure the "Use previous headers and footers" is unchecked. Insert a page number in the footer, and in the inspector, have the page numbering start at 1 (it will start at 3 otherwise).

Thanks, but how do I define new sections? I'm a newbie :(
