I have an issue with my Mac Pro Ventura 13.7.1 and how it synch's photos to my iPhone 12 Pro, maybe someone can tell me I am doing this wrong.

see attached pics.

firstly I don't have iCloud turned on for photos on either the iPhone or Mac, I have my entire photo collection on the Mac arranged into albums, I connect the phone to the Mac using the usb-c cable, in the Finder window I select which albums to sync and/or which people, hit the sync button and they appear on my phone under "From My Mac" as per attached.

so here's the issue, I don't want the "People" album to be sync'd from the Mac to the iPhone, you would think I just unselect all the people as per the attached pic, sync once more & the People album should disappear but that is not the case, nothing I have tried will remove that album, am I misunderstanding what should be happening here.

** the reason I don't want the "People" album pushing from the Mack->iPhone is because the iPhone already curates the photos from the Mac albums and does a really good job of placing these into the iPhones own "People And Pets" albums, so I don't need two separate albums where people/pets appear.

Mark.
