how good is this app? is it worth paying for? does it really use "hidden" features in leopard or are these features that the programs implements?

thanks for any feedback.

this is a great app! it implements hidden features in OS X that are usually only accesable by Terminal commands. Mac Pilot is a GUI to access these commands.

it has some of the "hidden features" you can activate like in Onyx but a lot more.theres a lot of simple and advanced features. heres a few examples

simple

- show hidden files and folders.
- disable bouncing of opening of applications.
- make files or folders invisible

advanced

- enable root
- choose a network preset
- wipe access control data list data (fixes ACL permissions issue in Leopard)

… too many to list. see http://www.koingosw.com/products/macpilot.php

be careful as there a lot of advanced features. dont touch the ones you dont know about i.e. "if it aint broke, dont fix it" analogy.

also remember that a dashed sign in the checkbox means you havent set it yet so its OS X's default.
