Mac power on password

On my Lenovo Thinkpad I can set a power on password in the BIOS to prevent the computer booting into Windows.

Is there an equivalent of a BIOS power on password on my MacBook?

Yes, it's doable, but fer Gawd's sake don't forget the password! =]
