Hi there
I am new to the world of Macs and haven’t yet got one :) I am thinking of getting a Macbook Pro or just a Macbook and was wondering when the new Macbook pro comes out ( i hear update soon, i hope) will the cost of the Macbook pro skyrocket and then gradually come down?
or does they stay at a constant price despite the update
I am also sorry if someone has asked this before :)

Were not sure when they are coming out (some people seem to think relatively soon). Regarding the price they seem to say roughly the same price. After awhile machines will appear in the refurb store. You can get some good savings from there.

In general Apple release at a certain price and keep it there until the update/replace the model.

Even when they update / replace the model the price almost always stays roughly the same with the new model simply taking over from the previous one.

There are only six ways to get a cheaper Mac:
  • Refurb store
  • Old stock of the previous model
  • Second-hand machines
  • Education / Government / Non-profit pricing, if you qualify
  • Developer pricing, if you qualify
  • Employee pricing, if you qualify
  • Steal one, if you're a scumbag
